Booking
Your agreement is with Sikkim Dekho. Once we confirm your preferred tour/hotel booking or any other travel service and receive your booking request and advance deposit, a contract becomes effective between us.
Payments
To confirm a booking, an advance payment of 30% to 40% of the total package cost must be made. The remaining balance must be paid as per the final quotation agreed upon. We reserve the right to determine the amount of advance depending on the type of service and the time left before the tour begins.
Payment Options
Payments can be made through:
- Bank transfer (to our Ahmedabad, Siliguri, or Gangtok office)
- Cash at our offices
- Debit/Credit Card
- UPI transfer
Note: All payments must be complete and tax-free. Any bank charges for transfers are to be borne by the payer.
Right to Amend Itinerary
Once the tour starts, the scheduled itinerary will be followed. However, since Sikkim is a remote hilly region, natural issues like landslides or road blockages can cause unavoidable changes.
In such cases, for the safety and interest of the travelers, we reserve the right to modify the itinerary. If there are extra costs like additional fuel charges due to detours, they must be borne by the group.
Cancellation / No-Show / Early Departure Policy
All cancellations must be informed in writing. The cancellation charges will be as follows:
- 30 days or more before arrival: Full refund (No cancellation charges)
- 29 to 10 days before arrival: 50% of booking amount retained
- 10 to 7 days before arrival: 70% of booking amount retained
- 7 to 1 day before arrival / No Show: No refund (100% of total amount retained)
Special Note: After booking confirmation, a minimum service charge of 5% will apply on cancellation.
Once the tour has started, refunds for cancellations will be limited and depend on what we are able to recover from hotels and other service providers.
No refunds will be given for unused hotels, transportation, meals, or any services.
Refunds
- Refunds for services canceled in advance will be made as per our refund policy and will be credited back to the payer's account.
- Please allow 2 to 4 weeks for refund processing due to banking procedures. Bank charges will be deducted during refunds.
Our Liabilities & Limitations
- If there are any increases in government taxes, entrance fees, fuel costs, or guide fees after the package price has been finalized, they must be borne by the client.
- We act only as an agent for hotels, airlines, transport companies, and other service providers.
- All our issued receipts, contracts, tickets, etc., are subject to the terms and conditions of these providers.
- Itinerary plans are tentative; actual tours may change depending on weather, road conditions, physical ability of participants, etc.
- We are not responsible for delays, changes in schedule, or extra expenses due to natural calamities, flight cancellations, accidents, political instability, strikes, thefts, pandemics, or public health regulations.
- We do not offer any insurance covering accidents, illnesses, theft, or other personal losses. Travelers are advised to obtain their own insurance in their home country.
- Passengers are responsible for their own personal belongings at all times.
Passport & Visa
Except for citizens of Nepal and Bhutan, all foreign nationals traveling to India must have a valid passport with at least 6 months' validity and a valid Indian visa.
Passport and visa processing is not included in the tour cost.
Health
Persons suffering from infectious diseases are not permitted to travel.
If anyone is found to have an infectious disease during the tour, they must withdraw from the group and return home at their own expense.
Baggage Policy
- For small cars (Sedan/Hatchback): Each passenger is allowed 1 medium-sized trolley/bag.
- For SUV vehicles: Each passenger is allowed 1 large trolley/bag.
